Great hotel, there is no pharmacy inside the hotel or in the surrounding area, bring a first aid kit and Doliprane.
There are plenty of activities on offer at the hotel and on the beach, a real all-in, but nothing around.
The hotel is magnificent, the service is impeccable, the cleanliness, nothing to complain about
The city is 30 minutes by car.

Large resort in an isolated position (35 km from the town of Sal Rei) but on a long, white beach. Three swimming pools and free sunbeds also on the beach with the shade of palm trees. Lots of people but just try to avoid the busiest times for lunch and dinner (the food is of medium quality, especially suitable for Nordic customers). Excellent cleanliness and friendliness of the staff.

This was our first visit to the Rui Touareg but it won’t be our last as we were highly delighted with the hotel. The whole experience was wonderful and the hotel staff made our stay even better due to their friendliness and professionalism. The hotel is maintained to an excellent standard. The food on offer is amazing and only quality produce used with a multitude of choices at every mealtime.This resulted in the most relaxing and stress free holiday we have ever taken.

Our first trip to Cape Verde, we went as a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children between the ages of 13-9years. Pros: * fantastic weather, * beautiful beach, *lovely people, *lots of activities to get involved in, * food was OK, we always ate *rooms cleaned daily Cons: *the furniture is wicker and gathers dust *our patio furniturehad seen better days * the hotel needs some serious TLC, the rooms are dated, furniture really needs replacing, the pool had missing tiles and my husband had cuts on his feet from playing water polo due to missing tiles. If this hotel was renovated it would have been 👌 A special mention to the animation team, in particular Paulo, Carlos, Precious, Anderson and the rest of the animation team, they really made our holiday! Also a mention to Rochelle the Tui rep who helped us out on various occasions. Overall we probably would go back but this would be a certainty if it had the renovation it so desperately needs.

Food, beach and pool all 5 star, accommodation, drinks and service more 3/4 star. Food was exceptional, the pool and beach was incredible. Drinks and service average, would have expected table service in the evening in a 5 star hotel, only small selection of cocktails which were ok. The entertainment was great. Glad we went we tried the Cape Verde, Asian and Italian restaurants which are basically buffets, the Asian restaurant was superb. There was a water sports hut by the beach where you could hire a private boat trip and quad bike rides which were very reasonable.

Love,y holiday for sun. Hotel is “ tired”, but we knew that . It’s cheaper than others, so… The restaurants are chaotic. Food is not great to say the least. But it’s interesting watching the “ gonna get my moneys worth” lot. I lost 5lbs ! Plates are cold, and food doesn’t vary. Book themed restaurants every three days to make sure you get better quality. No need to book adult only when kids are at school. Its not a problem . All staff are lovely and always say hello . The hotel lacks toilets, considering how many guests, but they are always clean. Entertainment is pretty good. Bar staff work so hard , but selfish guests like sitting at the bars, so it’s difficult to get drinks sometimes. Pool is rammed every day, but you can’t reserve beds….. yeah right!,, beach is better. Donkeys are cute, and wait to see what guests have nicked from restaurants for them. They have no loyalty to you though, don’t be fooled!! Sic the cats.

Enjoyable winter sun holiday on Boa Vista island in Cape Verde. Hotel is ready for a refresh, but staff were fantastic and everywhere was clean and welcoming. Food was good and drinks easy to order.

Ended up at this hotel because of a rebooking. This is family hotel and we usually use adults only hotels so it was a bit strange for us but we were impressed by the size and nr. of guests. But I have to say this is a very well organised hotel with plenty of friendly staff at all levels. Hotel grounds were well kept and plenty of sun beds and although you still had the usual ” sun-bed warriors” the pool staff removed any “forgotten” towels after 18:00. My advice is, if you don’t mind sand in you shorts or bikini use the beach as there are a couple of hundred beds and many free no matter what time of day so you never have to rush down. And it’s just as we kept and is tidied after six as round the pool is. Our experience is this is a good family hotel and we had a very enjoyable stay even though we’re an older couple.
